Susie Vernon, Senior Consultant

SV

Meet Susie Vernon

She helped cut Audi UK’s energy bills by £2 million / year.

She went to Holland to learn about green networks from the experts.

She works with local communities to understand their perspectives.

She’s working out how to set up and run an urban farm.

She plays the euphonium.

She’s a lapsed keen cyclist who’s spent the last 2 years talking about buying a bike.

Tell me more:

Susie makes sure strategic sustainability principles are adhered to at every stage of our projects. As well as running stakeholder consultation and communications exercises she’s becoming increasingly specialised in green infrastructure – the network of parks, green roofs, street trees and urban farms in towns and beyond.

She’s currently leading the work on green infrastructure for Beyond Green’s urban extension in Broadland, looking at how green infrastructure can be integrated within the development and how access and connections to the environment can be improved beyond the projects’ borders. She’s recently worked as part of a team advising on sustainability for a large scale, mixed-use development at Earls Court and a sustainable urban extension to Reading.

Before joining Beyond Green, Susie studied for a Masters in Leadership for Sustainable Development with Forum for the Future, focusing on implementing sustainable development principles in practice for organisations including Global Action Plan, BT and the European Commission.
