Meet Richard Kendall

He understands the importance of creating real value through sustainable development.

He’s turning the traditional housebuilder model upside down.

He knows more about renewable energy and integrated utilities than most people.

He’s setting up clever relationships and partnerships to make it all happen.

He’s been known to do yoga.

He generates his own energy from a water mill.

He exudes admirable calm whilst herding the cats across the Group. Perhaps it’s the yoga…

Tell me more:

As Managing Director of the Beyond Green Group Richard’s responsible for our business strategy and priorities, financial planning and control, HR and resourcing.

Building on his extensive experience of high level strategic consultancy for blue-chip companies he leads our work developing innovative commercial strategies and financial models which integrate place making, renewable energy provision and long-term value creation in sustainable housing and mixed-use developments.

He’s heading up our work in this area for the proposed developments at both Pincents Hill and North East Norwich, and regularly speaks at conferences on this subject.

He also works on integrated utilities strategies for clients and for our own developments, working with engineers, designers, developers, and political stakeholders to find optimal solutions that meet both sustainability and commercial objectives.

Recently he’s been working on options for retrofitting the buildings in existing communities around new developments as an innovative and cost-effective way of reducing carbon and integrating new places into the fabric of existing communities.
