Jonathan Smales presents in New Zealand

Group Chief Executive Jonathan Smales was a guest of the New Zealand government on a trip in which he led several discussions with key figures, including the Environment Minister, around sustainability. He also gave the keynote address, ‘Doing everything differently: sustainable places and sustainable behaviours’ at the New Zealand Planning Institute Conference.

Joanna Yarrow appointed to Eco-towns Challenge panel

The Housing Minister Caroline Flint recently announced that Beyond Green Director Joanna Yarrow will be one of twelve experts from the worlds of design, planning, transport and sustainability who have signed up to join the Eco-towns Challenge panel. The panel will provide advice and support to developers about proposed locations that were announced in last week’s shortlist of fifteen potential ‘eco-town’ sites. They will also play an important role in challenging the developers to meet the highest standards possible for sustainability and design in their final proposals
